Zephyrus G15 internal monitor issue + power on issue

My Zephyrus G15 Ryzen 9 5900HS RTX 3080 is experiencing a strange issue where the laptop's internal monitor doesn't work in windows 10. The screen works during boot up, in the bios, and in safe mode but I'm only able to use my external monitor in windows. The laptop screen connected one time recently after I left the laptop to idle for about an hour but the cursor was missing and the trackpad did not work. After restarting the laptop, I was not able to reproduce this manually by putting the laptop into sleep mode myself. On top of this problem, the laptop will only turn on after being fully shut down by preforming a hard reset(unplugging everything, holding the power button for 40 seconds, then plugging the charger and tapping the power button). It's quite strange and I can't tell if this is a scenario where a hardware issue causes software issues or if it's the other way around. I don't understand why the internal monitor came back for a few minutes but is now gone again.

Based on your description, it is likely a hardware issue (since the laptop only powers on after a hard reset). Have you tried reinstalling the system and testing with the drivers provided on the official support page?
