So I bought my Zephyrus G14 laptop for my studies and for playiong every now and then on June 2023. The laptop almost always stayed at home and I never used it for playing any hardcore game, mostly TableTop simulator.
When I decided to try playing Clair Obscure ffor the first time, suddenly the laptop froze, I heard a clicking sound and it turned off. This happened in middle July 2025 (one month and a half after the warranty expired). I did not manage to turn it on, no matter which way I tried.
I went to my local laptop repair shjop to get my data taken out and a diagnostic. They told me the motherboard died.
So I contacted Asus Customer Service for this problem, they took two months to answer with a quotation after I send them my purchase invoice. They gave me an estimated quote for the replacement of the motherboard (around 300 euros), so I decided to send it with them for repair. After they got the laptop, they send me a new quote (now 700 euros) and gave me no detailed diagnostic on why the motherboard died, or which components on it was broken.
I expect at least an explanation on why the motherboard died (and only after the warranty expired). Are their "gaming" laptops not prepared to support games? I am still waiting for an answer from them since I took utmost care of my laptop...
