Xg mobile 5090

Ok I don't understand why the xg mobile 5090 doesn't work with the FLOW-Z13-GZ301ZE 2022 model. On the website https://rog.asus.com/laptops/rog-flow/rog-flow-z13-2022-series/spec/

I/O Ports

1x 3.5mm Combo Audio Jack
1x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C with support for DisplayPort™ / power delivery / G-SYNC (data speed up to 10Gbps)
1x USB 2.0 Type-A (data speed up to 480Mbps)
1x Thunderbolt™ 4 with support for DisplayPort™ / power delivery (data speed up to 40Gbps)
1x ROG XG Mobile Interface and USB Type-C combo port (with USB 3.2 Gen2, with support for DisplayPort™ 1.4) (data speed up to 10Gbps)
1x card reader (microSD) (UHS-II)

1x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C with support for DisplayPort™ / power delivery / G-SYNC

it shows thunderbolt 4 support on the top and bottom usb c port on the device. And here it said that if your device supports thunderbolt 5 and or 4 this should work... now when I connect the 5090 xg mobile to my flow z13 2022 model it said that rog xg mobile drivers can't be downloaded why is that the new xg mobile says.

According to Intel’s Thunderbolt™ 5 specifications, Thunderbolt™ 5 devices are only backward compatible with Thunderbolt™ 4 and USB4. If your laptop only supports Thunderbolt™ 3 or earlier, or USB 3.2 or below, it will not be compatible with the 2025 XG Mobile. https://www.asus.com/us/support/faq/1045151/#b2

Help me understand why this is stopping me from enjoying my new product when clearly I meet all the system requirements. It shows in the picture I have posted that everything shows up.

but then when I go to install the driver there is nothing to install.

So I have found the solution to my problem about this issue. Apparently, there's different types of Thunderbolt versions, and it looks like the Flow Z13 2022 has thunderbolt ver 1. Well, devices that show that they have thunderbolt on them have thunderbolt version two, so it goes thunderbolt 4v1 and thunderbolt 4v2 so the ones that have thunderbolt 4v1 is more less a version of usb4 but like in my post above Asus state that the Flow Z13 2022 model has thunderbolt 4 not usb4. Now that I understand the difference in the 2 types of Thunderbolt, I understand why my 2022 model did not work with a new 5090XG mobile. Cause you have to have thunderbolt 4v2 which is still thunderbolt 4 and usb4 just on the 80gb banwith not the 40gb. Still wish this was something that was stated to me before purchasing the 5090XG mobile and I know people are not perfect, at least make the marketing material much more clearer to understand so that people like me won't make this mistake because this is an expensive mistake.

<span;>I am upset about this but I not going to sling hate about this company. Asus is a great company and makes great products I think these guys are super innovative in all their products, but this right here. It was just a huge oversight, because my Z13 2022 is running perfectly fine. It just needs more graphical horsepower. And this was the answer to that for me. to know that it will not work for me was really, really disappointing. I have invest in this ecosystem so much. I understand they got rid of the proprietary port so more people can adapt to it and went to usbc. I am all for that but don't forget the ones that invested into your first product i know you want to sell the latest and greatest to everyone and make the most money possible but if it wasn't for us early adopters you wouldn't have a Z13 series which is phenomenal,  to have no backward support for the 1st generation flows an the original rog ally is very disappointing.  I can't accept the fact that you would give me an excuse of hardware limitations. I feel like every Asus product is made to be Future proof like I said, I had a 22 model. All the way up until 2025, doing perfectly fine. you couldn't make a 5090 work with it? I don't believe it or you couldn't make an adapter to attach to the USB C and still connect to the proprietary pci lane that actually theoretically gets "74 Giga bits per second". I understand you need money(want), but also, you should take care of those who helped you get to this point (loyal supportive fans). if you don't think the fans support got you to were you are now, you should go talk to guild wars 2 community. they stay loyal to their community and their community stays loyal to them. Hopefully this post keeps ppl from making the same mistakes I did.
