Unable to increase keyboard backlight brightness (broken key)

Hi all,

I have a G531GV notebook and I recently broke my Up Arrow key.

What this means is now I can't increase my keyboard backlight brightness, as the shortcut for it is FN + Up Arrow.

It's now permanently off/dark.

I have tried to remap the key to something else, but it didn't work (I think due to the FN function changing the scan codes for the keys)

My question is:
1. Can I increase the brightness via software and not using the physical keyboard buttons? I tried via Armory Crate but no luck
2. If software isn't an option, can I change/customize/remap FN functions somehow?

Thank you in advance

Hi @kkk737 ,

Due to the inability to customize Fn shortcuts, please try adjusting the brightness in Armory Crate under Devices > Lighting, select 'static', and test whether it works. Thank you.

To speed up issue identification, please provide the product model, BIOS, and driver versions, along with the troubleshooting steps you've already tried to avoid redundant checks.
