Hi, i just got my new zephyrus g16 a few day ago and every day my trackpad stop working most often after i start it. I've seen the thing where you delete "ASUS Precision Touchpad" and then reboot the laptop but is there a better solution than this cuz its really upsetting. Do you guys have any other fix ? (my windows is updated and i've done all the updates in amrory crate)

Got the same issue. My new G16’s touchpad stop working during the initial system setup stage. Tried install the latest chipset, I2C, touchpad driver, and reinstall windows. There seems like some conflicts between drivers. I tried uninstall all the old touchpad and I2C related drivers and install the new one, the touchpad could work for a while, and then the system just crushed and turn to blue screen. After restart the system, the GPU 0 sometimes went offline, and if I disable the I2C Hid things in the device manager, the GPU will be on again.

In my memory, the too-new version of serialio 24H2 from microsoft can cause the touchpad to stop working. (You need to uninstall it through Driver Store Explorer [RAPR] with the internet disabled and serialio driver install the version from Asus or WQHL that was working at the time.
Additionally, the touchpad completely stops working in Windows Server 2022 and Windows 10 1903-2004 until you manually remove the touchpad with an exclamation mark from the device manager. So, experiment and explore the possible causes.

Model number is GU605CR, BIOS version is 306 with Win11 24H2 version.
Reinstall the driver does not help. I replaced a new same model with same BIOS and OS version, the trackpad is working fine. Not sure what is the problem is.

To rule out whether the issue is caused by system instability, we recommend backing up your data and performing a system restore to check again. If the issue persists after the system restore, it may be a problem with the touchpad. We suggest bringing your laptop to a service center for further inspection.
