The ROG Flow Z13 Charging Block is a Bit Too Bulky: Need Suggestion for alternatives.

The ROG Flow Z13 comes with a charger block that sends 20v 5a power to charge the laptop.

I've come across ROG 140w USB-C GaN Charger and I wonder if it's compatible / capable of sending enough power to the laptop.

j5Create 130W GaN USB-C 4-Port charger and Anker Prime 6-in-1 USB-C Charging Station also come to mind.

Can we use chargers other than the original package as long as we could find ones with enough power delivery?

Please advise, thanks in advance.

Thank you for your reply.

To ensure optimal laptop performance, we recommend using the original power adapter for high-performance operation.

If you need a portable solution, you may also consider using the ROG 140W USB-C GaN charger. Hope this information helps. Thank you!

Thanks for the reply.

It's GZ301ZE, I bought / registered it on 9 Feb 2024. The output of the charger block (printed on the side) is 20V 5A ~ 100W, so I wonder if I can use any 20V 5A charger, although I suspect there's something in the original charger block that the laptop should recognize for it allow power to come in and send charging power.

Thank you very much for the confirmation. Although, I must admit that I also wanted to hear advice on the other chargers, or any chargers that are not ASUS brand because the ROG 140w GaN charger is not available here in Indonesia.

Best regards 🙏

Due to the wide variety of third-party chargers available on the market, we are unable to test each one individually or guarantee their stability and compatibility. Thank you for your understanding.
