While gaming, vertical lines suddenly appeared all over the screen on the built-in 240Hz Nebula display. No overheating or physical damage. GPU is not the problem, tested with an external monitor.
What could be the cause of this issue? Since this is relatively newly produced display, Could this be early signs of motherboard issues? Anyone experienced same?
Before this display failure, sometimes after booting up, couldn’t adjust brightness while in discrete GPU mode. The brightness bar was unresponsive until I switched to standard GPU mode, after which it worked normally in both modes. Already sent for repairs but don't want this display fail again! So disappointed since handled with utmost care!!

Have you tested using the ASUS-verified NVIDIA graphics driver version V32.0.15.6607?
You mentioned that the device has already undergone RMA. Are you still experiencing the same issue? If the problem persists, please provide the serial number and RMA number via private message so we can further investigate. Thank you!

Failed display was "NE160QDM-NZ5 BOE0B3A; Manufacture week: 20, year: 2022"; They replaced it with "TL160ADMP03-0 TMX1603; Manufacture week: 15, Year: 2022", screen is usable again.. I still wanna know why this kind of issue happened to a brand new lcd screen while playing at supervised temperature.

We understand your concerns, but we are unable to confirm all the details of the RMA process. However, electronic components may still experience aging or unexpected failures over time. We recommend that you continue to monitor your device's performance, and if you encounter any issues, please feel free to contact us. We are here to assist you. Thank you.

I am experiencing the same issue with my ROG Strix G16 (G614JV, Serial Number: R7N_), where vertical lines have appeared on the display. This issue suddenly emerged on February 11, 2025. This is the second problem I’ve encountered within the one-year warranty period.
In December of last year, I had to initiate two RMAs for the motherboard of my ASUS ROG Strix G16 due to a "burnt motherboard" issue. Ref: https://www.reddit.com/r/ASUSROG/comments/1fqzvz7/asus_rog_strix_g16_burnt_motherboard_4_month_old/
The ROG Strix G16 G614JV appears to have a design flaw, yet it is still being sold at a premium price. I have experienced significant issues with both the product and ASUS’s after-sales service. Specifically, the repair process was extremely delayed, taking over a month at an ASUS-authorized third-party repair center, despite multiple user complaints. Furthermore, there is no clear point of escalation for this issue in the Sri Lanka region.
I purchased the product from Incotech Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, an ASUS-authorized retailer. However, their customer service regarding warranty support has been disappointing and frustrating, as they instructed me to collect the product from the repair center and provided no customer-friendly assistance throughout the process.

I have the same issue with g614jv. One month after 1-year warranty period ended display was failed. I trusted this brand so much, but something is changed, now it's problematic to have a proper diagnostic in small city

On February 15, 2025, I collected my laptop from Digital IT Services, the authorized Asus repair center. According to their assessment, the issue I encountered is a common one within the G614JV and G16 series. They have replaced the LCD panel as part of the repair process.
Based on the information provided by the repair center, the issues identified with this series,
Motherboard issue – There was a short circuit causing a burning issue and resulting in no power.
Display issue – Vertical lines were appearing on the screen, necessitating a replacement of the LCD panel.
Power button issue – The power button was non-functional, requiring a full keyboard replacement.
I understand and acknowledge Anbby_ROG point that 'electronic components may still experience aging or unexpected failures over time.' However, I am concerned that these recurring issues suggest potential underlying manufacturing or hardware defects. I am genuinely disappointed by the instability and frequent failures of this product.
Furthermore, I would like to inquire if there is a possibility to obtain Asus Premium Care. I would be willing to pay the associated fees for this service

Thank you for your reply! Could you please tell if you know - is it possible to buy Asus Premium Care for already owned product and get some support from officials? Or only during purchase of new product?

tell if you know , is it possible to buy Asus Premium Care for already owned product and get some support from officials?
I currently have a one-year warranty, which is set to expire in April. I am inquiring if it is possible to extend my warranty or obtain ASUS Premium Care for my device after the warranty period ends.
Could you kindly provide information on the options available for extending or upgrading my warranty coverage?
