Strix G18 Intel APO support?

Saviant0

Intel APO application gives out a "Failed to connect" error indicating that it's not supported on my laptop at least (G814JI). Wondering if there are any plans to add support for it since 12 and 13th Gen now support it.

I got a reply in PMs and apparently no, 12 and 13th gen Strix laptops will not be getting APO support, which is a bit unfortunate since it might especially help in e-sports games or with eGPUs later on if they ever become worth.

I would like to confirm whether you have installed the Intel Dynamic Tuning Technology (DTT) Driver. Could you please provide a screenshot of the "Failed to connect" error and send the following information via private message for further confirmation? Thank you.

  • Serial Number:
  • BIOS Version:
  • Windows Build Version: (Settings - System - About)
  • Intel Dynamic Tuning Technology (DTT) Driver Version:

I have reinstalled the DTT driver just to be sure but the issue persists.

I'm also curious about this as I'm in a similar situation as Saviant0. Has there been any confirmation whether APO is planned to be supported?
