I had another post that I closed out but I haven't been able to use my laptop for a month or two now for games due to the stuttering present in every single game, even simple games. I thought I was having a display issue but this seems deeper than that compared to other posts, I have watched my GPU during games and it appears to be "surging" from 18% to 66% back and forth.
I've gone through and modified Nvidia settings, reset everything back to factory, upgraded all the drivers, nothing is working.

Just want everyone to know that even though there are a lot of comments on "stuttering", which you can read my original post, while I was originally thinking this was a BIOS issue with all the other posts with similar issues, I ended up noticing my CPU temperature was very erratic and ANY load at all would spike it to 95C which resulted in instant voltage throttling which the system essentially would go back and forth on throttling. This was the cause with all of my issues.
I didn't go the warranty route due to time, so I took it to a computer store, once we had it opened up, the liquid metal had leaked out, luckily, no damage, I just had them use regular thermal paste (good stuff) and this machine works like a charm now.
Somewhat surprised that running INTEL diagnostics and everything else showed no issues but was very apparent just watching through the Armory crate and creating some light load, literally just opening any program.

I guess I'll throw this link for anyone else dealing with the same micro stutters, in my case, its any game using the GPU. ASUS Gaming Laptops Have Been Broken Since 2021: A Deep Dive : r/ASUSROG

ASUS released on X acknowledging these issues with a beta out for certain laptops and then the roll out happening early October.... hopefully we will see something soon.

Hey there, can you please post a link regarding the ASUS acknowledgement? Couldn't find it on X.
Would really be helpful. 🙏

@floky I'll try to upload it, its not easy for searching on "X", had to use ChatGPT to locate those announcements. It is posted on the other lengthy post from another user detailing the issues of what is going on.

Found a workaround... unplug the power supply, laptop works fine while playing games.... until I have to plug it back in and then my games start stuttering... Wish somebody from ASUS would comment that this is going to be fixed soon.

@Dustinwog
Based on your previous post, the issue you reported may be caused by a graphics card malfunction.

Therefore, we still recommend backing up your data and sending your laptop to a service center for further inspection.

@Falcon2_ROG I have no issues sending this in but the public announcements that ASUS is posting regarding addressing stuttering issues and BIOS updates coming in this month, is my laptop part of the bios update that will be landing? Looking through these posts and online, my issue is very similar.
Also to clarify, playing off the battery VASTLY improves the experience but does not completely eliminate it.

Bios 322 was released on the 7th, this was recently installed and tested on games and the same stutter/lag appears across any game still. I went ahead and reverted the Nvidia version back to the latest version available on ASUS and that also did not make an impact. I guess its time for this guy to head back to ASUS for repair. Running out of warranty time with ASUS.
