Hey everyone,
I got this laptop a day ago and I´ve been encountering multiple issues with the speakers. During the first couple hours everything seemed alright, however, randomly it started sounding as if the speakers were underwater (muffled highs) and a constant soft popping sound came from the right speaker only when media was playing (not sure why but it kept popping when media was playing but on mute, like if something was moving). I tried restarting the laptop multiple times, completing updates from MyAsus and ArmouryCrate, and changing Dolby Atmos settings from the Dolby Access application. Weirdly, sometimes out of no where the sound starts working as expected but then gets ruined once again. Also, when using external audio output, both wired and wireless, it sounds good so I´m not sure if it´s a hardware issue.

Hi @Laspri ,
I would like to confirm if you have tried reinstalling the speakers and audio drivers in Device Manager to see if this improves the issue. Thank you.

Hey @Anbby_ROG,
I hope you’re doing well. Sorry for the delay—I had to wait for the issue to recur. I tried reinstalling the speakers and audio drivers, but that didn’t resolve the problem. Shortly afterward, I played a YouTube video, and out of nowhere, it started working fine again. I’m unsure whether it’s a hardware or software issue. However, since it fixes itself from time to time and the popping sound is resolved as well, it looks like it’s most likely a software problem. I´ve seen some people use LatencyMon to find the root cause and others reinstalled the Intel(R) SST and Cirrus SmartAMP Drive drivers, but I´m unsure if I should try that.

Hi @Anbby_ROG,
Thanks for your response. First of all, sorry for the wait I didn't have the time to do this. I tried that, however, the issue persists. As I said before, I believe it's most likely a software/driver issue, so not sure what should I do. I tried using LatencyMon while the issue was happening and this is what I got.
