I purchased an ASUS ROG Strix 18, one of their flagship models, expecting premium performance and service. Unfortunately, my experience has been nothing short of a nightmare.
In early December 2024, my laptop started giving issues. Since it’s still under warranty—and has an ON-SITE warranty—I logged a support ticket immediately. However, ASUS South Africa’s service has been appalling.
For almost a month now, no one has bothered to call me or provide any meaningful follow-up. Every time I call their call center or use their online chat, I get the same unhelpful response: "Someone will call you." But no one ever does.
This has been the case every single day for nearly four weeks. The lack of accountability, responsiveness, or care is astounding.
If you’re considering ASUS, think again. The product might be great on paper, but the after-sales service is the worst I’ve encountered with any laptop brand worldwide. ASUS simply doesn’t care about their customers.
Avoid ASUS at all costs if you value proper customer support.
