Scar 18 ram upgrade to 5200 mhz (64 gb): is it possible or not?!

Hi all, I have a Scar 18 G834JY (2023) and would like to expand the preinstalled 32 gb of ram (4800mhz) to 64 gb. Since the processor (Intel i9 13980HX) supports--from the datasheet--rams with speeds up to 5600mhz, I was wondering if it would be possible to install two banks of 32 gb ram with speeds of 5200 mhz (or even 5600 mhz) or if the pc will still handle the new 4800 mhz ram. I asked at the Asus Store in Milan and they told me that this pc can handle the ram up to 5200 mhz, the support replied via email that the maximum speed is 4800 mhz and that there is no list of compatible ram available, while the phone support sent me a list of compatible ram but they all go up to 4800 mhz max. Can anyone tell me anything more specific? Thank you very much

Okay, here's the answer, I give it to myself. I installed two new banks of 32 gb ram (for a total of 64 gb) Crucial 5200 mhz, I checked the speed and it is indeed 5200 mhz. So the Rog Strix Scar 18 834JY (2023) is absolutely capable of reading 5200 mhz ram, contrary to what Asus support said. It is critical, before installing the new ram, to reset any undervolting profiles, otherwise the pc will not boot. Cheers

Hi @Antonius__Block ,

Thank you for your update, and I'm glad to hear that you have successfully installed the RAM that meets your requirements.
Our hardware tests are conducted based on stability and reliability, providing users with reference. While many users choose to install higher-speed RAM based on CPU compatibility. However, if you encounter any other issues during usage, we still recommend reverting to the original configuration to test if the problem might be related to stability. Thank you for your understanding.

Thank you for your kind reply. Anyway, as you can see, three different replies from three different channels - the most reliable is the one from the guys of the shop in Milan, super skilled - can be kind of a problem in customer service. Best regards
