My S, Z, X keys are not working on my ASUS TUF Gaming A15 (2020) F506IH laptop. How can I fix this? I have tried reinstalling Windows and updating the BIOS. What could be the solution? Please tell me. I have seen many TUF users with the 2020 model having the same problem. Is it a software problem or hardware issue? Also, if I replace the keyboard, what is the price?

Hi @garg18 @213 @soumyasingh8456 @Titos ,
Thank you for reporting the issue with specific keys on TUF A15. Since we are unsure of the exact model of your laptop, to further investigate the problem, could you please provide the following information via private message for us to check?
Please use AsLogDumptool to capture the system information when the issue occurs and provide a video for further analysis.
Additionally, some users have reported that uninstalling and reinstalling the ASUS-verified display drivers resolved the issue. Please try this and let us know if it helps. Thank you.

A laptop that cot thouand of dollar houldnt have thi problem.
To add insult to injury you are saying that the laptop when purchase dont have any warranty. When it does have warranty.

There o many people with thi problem, you should be responsible for the fix and repairs, worldwide. You cannot have a hundred of devices malfunctioning and do nothing about it.

None (no Linux version)
The scenario when the issue occurs (does it happen in all environments, only during gaming, or in specific software):
It occurs in all environments and software I have tried. First noticed during gaming. It also remains after powering
off the computer completely.
Does restarting the device resolve the issue:
No The issue continues, but comes and goes, seemingly at random.
Tests you have already tried (reinstalling the system, testing in safe mode, etc.):
I have cleaned the s key and w key,
I can always get an s z or x if I hold the w key at the same time, often after doing that they work again for a short while.
I did not clean the z or x key as it does not appear that the keys I cleaned were dirty, and the fact that that they work in
conjunction with a w key-press, and function often resumes for a short while after seems to exclude the keys themselves.
I have tried rebooting both hard and soft. I have tried several other Linux live disks, safe mode, and have had the problem using all software
that I have tried.
Please use AsLogDumptool to capture the system information when the issue occurs and provide a video for further analysis.
I do not have any AsusCrate software running, what sort of Linux log would you wish me to share in particular? I am
unfamiliar with delving into logs, but will try and supply what you ask.

Hi @Loquatum ,
Thank you for the information. Since the FX506LHB does not come with Linux OS pre-installed from the factory, to rule out any issues related to OS compatibility, could you please try testing the key functionality under Windows to see if the keys work correctly? Thank you.

I have been using Linux since I purchased the Tuf F 15. It is not an OS compatibility problem, and most of the people complaining of this are running Windows, so this more likely indicates a latent problem that is not OS related.
