S, Z, X keys are not working

My S, Z, X keys are not working on my ASUS TUF Gaming A15 (2020) F506IH laptop. How can I fix this? I have tried reinstalling Windows and updating the BIOS. What could be the solution? Please tell me. I have seen many TUF users with the 2020 model having the same problem. Is it a software problem or hardware issue? Also, if I replace the keyboard, what is the price?

Many users have reported that the issue was resolved after installing the ASUS-validated display driver. Could you please test it out and let us know if it works? Thank you.

I've been using the latest driver, and have used all of it's predecessors for several years back. If Nvidia introduced the problem it must have been recently, I guess I'm out of luck till some future driver fixes it. I have no access to a convenient Linux install for the driver you indicated. I note also that most of the discussion found while searching for solutions, concerned Tuf F 15's.

check temps, do they stop working when the laptop is hot?

at first I thought that, but it occurs at all temperatures and comes and goes at random pretty much

I've now been through several new driver iterations and the problem remains, and I now doubt it is anything but a latent hardware problem with the keyboard. I find myself in need of a new laptop prematurely, and strangely, do not find myself pricing Asus products.

I am also having the same issue on my asus tuf gaming f15 laptop model FX506LHB. The S,X,Z keys aren't working properly. This issue started fairly recently (this year). I tried every solution and I think it has something to do with one of your latest drivers. Could you please point me to a page where I can download and install the older drivers for my laptop model from last year?

This page and the display driver was recommended to me but I couldn't try it because it's for windows and I use linux : https://www.asus.com/supportonly/fx506lhb/helpdesk_download/

Thank you for the link but this page doesn't have the older drivers for download and I couldn't find anything related to keyboards. My X,Z,S keys are still not working. I tried everything, from reducing CPU voltage in order to reduce it's temperature, to uninstalling the keyboard drivers and cleaning the laptop. My last option now is to take it to the Asus service center for repair since I am still under warranty but I need my laptop for work so this will be difficult because I don't know how long they will keep my laptop there. It's either this or to buy a cheap external keyboard and use that because those normally work. From what I've seen online only the users of Tuf Gaming A/F 15 have reported this problem since this year.

It had been suggested to me that the display driver on that page resolved the issue for some. Some kind of Nvidia caused problem. I think it's worth a try. I couldn't test it because it's for Windows users, and I use Linux.

Since we have tested multiple times on the same model without being able to reproduce the same issue, please try installing the ASUS-verified display driver to see if it improves the situation. If the problem persists, we recommend that you send the laptop to a local service center for further hardware testing to identify the issue while it is still under warranty. Thank you!
