ROG Zephyrus USB C Monitor Stopped Working

Quadpod1234
Level 7

Hey Guys!

Just wanted to see if anyone else had this problem. My ROG was working great for 3 months then it suddenly cannot handle two monitors. I would use a USB C monitor as a secondary, then one day it wouldn't read it. Instead of making it a continuous monitor, it made it a mirror and then it would un-recognize it. Really weird. After researching, I see that ROGs have unreliable USB Cs, which is a huge bummer.

How did you guys solve this?

Thanks!

Could you share the exact model of your laptop with us?
You mentioned that only one of the two connected monitors, specifically the USB-C one, is not being recognized. To further clarify the issue, please help us confirm the following details, as this will assist us in providing better support. Thank you.

  • BIOS Version:
  • Windows Build Version: (Settings → System → About)
  • iGPU/dGPU Driver Version:
  • Have you tested whether other ports can display normally?
  • Can the USB-C port that fails to recognize the monitor still transfer data properly?
  • Have you tested with another monitor and cable to cross-check the issue?
  • Brand and model of the monitor and cable:
To speed up issue identification, please provide the product model, BIOS, and driver versions, along with the troubleshooting steps you've already tried to avoid redundant checks.
