ROG Zephyrus m16 4070 Ultra Core 9 Freezes

I just bought my Zephyrus M16 a few days ago and I absolutely love it. It runs great and the screen is amazing. I'm having one issue though. Every time I download a new game when I launch that game for the first time after the install it freezes my entire computer, and I have to hold the power button to reset. I'm not quite sure why it does this but every time after I hard reset the PC the games launch just fine forever after that. Is there something I should be concerned about?

*Yes all drivers are up to date.

Since you mentioned that all drivers are up to date, I would like to further confirm whether you have updated the BIOS to the latest version and tested with ASUS-validated drivers.

You mentioned that the freeze only occurs the first time you launch a game. Is everything else functioning normally? Please continue to monitor the usage and temperature of the device. If you encounter any other issues, please let us know so we can provide further assistance. Thank you.

So, after I posted this my computer actually started freezing more. Even after restarts on games that have been installed for a couple days. My cpu temp is always right around 88-90 and gpu stays anywhere from 75-85ish. Is that normal? Yes bios are up to date also. I noticed that in the display settings the graphics preference was set to auto so it was automatically switching back and forth from the integrated graphics to the nvidia graphics card before games launch. I noticed a bit of a delay when the computer switched graphics over every time I launched a game. So I went into the settings and selected nvidia gpu only and I haven’t had any problems for a few hours now. Not sure if that was the solution or what. What are your thoughts on that?

Hi @Ekrub90 ,

Please try setting the GPU configuration in Armoury Crate to either Ultimate mode and set the Fan mode to Turbo during gaming. 

This will help test if there is any improvement. Thanks!
