Hello,

My GX650PY laptop won't wake up after sleeping. I have to force it to shut down by holding down the power key.

OS: Windows 11
BIOS: 319
AMD Graphics Driver: V31.0.14038.8002
NVIDIA Graphics Driver: V31.0.15.4680

Tested:
1) Uninstalled the AMD graphics driver with AMDCleanupUtility and reinstalled AMD Graphics Driver V31.0.14038.8002.
2) Unable to Wake Up from Sleep or Hibernate Mode
3) NVIDIA graphics driver version V31.0.15.4680 downgraded.
4) BIOS version is up to date. (Version 319)

I solved the problem. The problem is caused by the Realtek Audio driver. Computer won't wake up with version V6.0.9556.1 installed. With version 6.0.9797.1 everything is normal. Everything works perfectly.

The latest version on the Asus driver site is V6.0.9556.1. Doesn't Asus have a solution for this issue?

Could you please let us know if this issue is recent or if it has been happening all along? Is the laptop connected to power while using it?
Please try using Cloud Recovery to reset the system and see if the issue is caused by a system malfunction. Thank you.

To speed up issue identification, please provide the product model, BIOS, and driver versions, along with the troubleshooting steps you've already tried to avoid redundant checks.

Laptop connected to power. But it is the same in both cases.
It started after I installed the AMD Raid Driver. I uninstalled the drivers but it didn't work.

I can't use Cloud Recovery right now. I don't want to lose data. Do you have any alternative solutions?

Thank you for your response. Have you tried testing the issue in Safe Mode to see if it persists?

Additionally, please use DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to completely remove the graphics drivers and then reinstall them to check if the issue improves.

Thank you!

Edit: Adding my thread https://rog-forum.asus.com/t5/gaming-notebooks/asus-rog-zephyrus-g16-ga605wi-bios-version-310-issues...

I'm having the same issue with my Zephyrus G16, but only since the latest BIOS version 310 (for my model GA605WI). I know it's not the same laptop as you, but I did go as far as performing ASUS Cloud Recovery and I'm still getting the issue. Reverting back to BIOS version 306 resolves it for me. Not sure if your issue started after a certain BIOS update, but could be worth a check.

Thank you for the information. I will test it during the day and update the topic.

I tried, but it didn't work. Unfortunately, the result is still the same.

Bummer. I'm still on 310 and disabled Modern Standby Assistant in Armoury Crate... That appears to be working so far. I'll report back if that changes.

Just to follow up on this point - Modern Standby Assistant did not make a difference.

Wow, really good find. I reverted my GA605WI to BIOS version 306 and the issue is resolved but I will give this a shot if I choose to upgrade back.

How did you figure out it was the driver in your case, and where did you download the new one?
