Help please.
I have just purchased the ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 (2023) and after a week or so started to freeze on Windows startup and a couple of times on shout down. All drivers were updated and also ran hardware checks as well as a memory diagnostic check. No problem here. The notebook works fine when it gets through the initial startup and can work on it for hours with no problems.
Has anybody an idea on what it could be?
Many thanks!!!

I have just tried this, but I don't see any flickering. Could you elaborate a bit more on how to reproduce and what to look for? Maybe specific website, YT clip or app that makes it more visible?

I have just had to pop out for an hour so I switched my laptop off. I switch it back on for effectively the first proper time since restarting it after installing the 3 drivers and guess what….IT FREEZES!!!
This can’t keep going on. I’m spending more time playing around with drivers than I am playing games. 😞

I told you i've already tried that but couldnt pass my test. I will comeback with my ultimate test results in a couple hours.
I think I solved everything now.
Just trying making sure.

I just received another update from ASUS regarding my support ticket. The short version is that HQ confirms issues with the AMD drivers and is working together with AMD on resolving them. This is for both the flickering and freezing issues. Currently they point to user installed AMD drivers (from the AMD website rather than the Asus website) as the root cause - think of it what you like but they say it is not officially supported. There is a so called SOP for this issue, describing the steps according to Asus to temporarily resolve the issue(s), until new drivers are available that bring it up to current. I will try to somehow make this PDF available to you - but for me the issue seems to be resolved by following the steps I mentioned earlier (but then again I only had freezes, not the flickering).

Anything you can do to help with this would be appreciated as mine froze again this morning upon startup.
Thank you for sharing this update with us and for giving us a glimmer of hope. 🙏

At the moment there is no link for AMD drivers from that link in PDF, did they removed?

But I installed the old 3 drivers, the link of which was given from the asus site before.
This is me right now, under thunderstorm:

Looks premium and expensive 😀

Afsdasgdsahj 😄 Yes, very very expensive indeed 😛
After all, what clown would invent a monitor that flicks when the driver is out of date? Imagine this happens on less expensive "Apple Vission Pro" Seriously I miss those old CRT monitors.
Cmorn Asus, do something.. We are tryna run a business here. Those flicks makes me sick. This flashing screen makes me feel like soldiers, whose violent moments were triggered while fighting in the Vietnam war. Why these kind of stupid things always finds me?
I'm going to smash this laptop completely and throw it out the window at last amk.

We all feel your pain 😣
According to Asus there is a work-in-progress to fix the issue with AMD. Also since you brought it up when compared to the Apple Vision, the CPU and GPU combo are very much a industry first... and being early adopter also means being first to experience issues with new products. I totally agree that for this kind of $$$$ you're right to have high expectations, but also consider the fact that this is not simply a newer version of the previous model (with an Intel CPU) - and unfortunately when it comes to software/drivers AMD doesn't have the same (good) reputation as Intel... and TBH I think Asus support was quick and correct in it's reaction to my email request. I have far worse experience with names like Dell and Lenovo.
