Hi everyone,
I'm using an ASUS ROG Strix Scar 16 (2024) and trying to connect it to my ASUS ROG Swift Pro PG248QP monitor via USB-C to DisplayPort — but the connection is unreliable.
Most of the time, the monitor stays black and shows "No DisplayPort Signal"
It only works after reconnecting the cable once I've booted into Windows
Interestingly, this issue only started appearing late last year, and might be related to BIOS v320
What I’ve tried so far:
Multiple high-quality USB-C to DisplayPort cables (including VESA-certified)
An active Club3D USB-C to DisplayPort 1.4 adapter (model CAC-1567)
Confirmed the PG248QP works fine via direct DisplayPort connections on other systems
Additional system info:
BIOS: v320
Latest NVIDIA drivers and firmware installed
Using the left-side USB-C port (which supports DP 1.4)
Not using any dock — direct connection only
Monitor's G-Sync module is enabled, but issue occurs regardless of G-Sync state
Running Windows 11, fully updated
Is anyone else with a 2024 ROG Strix Scar 16 experiencing similar issues with external monitors over USB-C/DisplayPort?
Any tips or known workarounds would be greatly appreciated — just looking to confirm if this is a wider problem or if I’m missing something.
Thanks in advance!

Thank you for providing detailed information. We would like to further confirm a few things with you:
Have you tried using DDU to uninstall the current display drivers and then installed the ASUS-validated NVIDIA graphics driver version V31.0.15.4624 to test if the issue persists?
Additionally, does this issue occur on both the USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port and the Thunderbolt™ 4 port?
If possible, could you kindly record a video demonstrating the issue so we can better understand and analyze the situation? Thank you!
