ROG Strix G614JI issues with DisplayPort (USB-C)

Hi there,

Some days ago, I started having issues when I connect my Rog strix G16 to my monitor using the DisplayPort (USC-C). It is not the monitor nor the cable as I use them with another laptop with no issue. 

The issue is the following: When starting the laptop, during the first minutes the screen goes black (like when there is no signal or changing the input signal). This happens like 3-4 times, then it´s okay. Sometimes, also during the first minutes after turning it on, there´s a black band flickering on top of the monitor.

Then when after the first minutes, I use the laptop normally. From time to time the screen goes black a couple of times and then again okay. Sometimes it happens 5-6 times on a row and it is really annoying.

I have the latest NVIDIA drivers installed.

You mentioned that you have installed the latest graphics drivers. May I ask if you have tried installing the ASUS-verified NVIDIA graphics driver version V32.0.15.6607 to see if the issue improves? Thank you.

Hello there!
It actually worked! However I´m very surprised as I have been always updating the NVIDIA drivers using the NVIDIA app, not only on this laptop but on all my PCs... 

The NVIDIA drivers from the ASUS website are more than one year old ☹️
