Hi all,
Yesterday I was using my laptop completely fine, everything working. Then Windows update popped up asking for a restart to complete installation, which I did. The laptop started back up but the keyboard (including power light) is completely dead. I bought a USB Keyboard from Amazon and that works fine (typing on it now) and the rest of the system seems completely fine, but obviously this isn't a solution (I bought a laptop, not a desktop!).
I've been trying to fix this for two straight days having tried:
I also found a few other threads on here talking about getting the KBFWUpdate tool, which I did from a link supplied on that thread. I extracted using 7Zip so I could see the fw .bin files but it doesn't appear to have the bin files for my model laptop inside (The other thread was for a user with a different model so assuming that's why, unless one of those that I have listed below would do the job?)
I'm hoping that all I need are those .bin files for my model to apply so that Windows can recognise the keyboard? Does anyone know where I can get those? Anyone here from @asus who can help me? I love this machine but it's essentially useless to me now because of what I believe to be a keyboard driver issue post Windows update?
.bin files I managed to get hold of:
F0NK1000.G703GI.304.bin
F0NK1000.G703GS.304.bin
F0NK1000.GL703GM.204.bin
F0NK1000.GL703GS.204.bin
F0NK1000.GM501GM.205.bin
F0NK1000.GM501GS.205.bin
F0NK1000.GU501GM.205.bin
F0NK1000.Gx501GI.105.bin
GL503GE.220.0.bin
GL703GE.220.0.bin
None of these I think work for my model (unless I'm applying them wrong with the tool)?
Or does anyone have any other ideas on what it could be/what I could try?
Thanks in advance!

Based on your description and the tests you've conducted, we recommend that you take your laptop to a local service center for further diagnostics to identify the issue. Thank you for your understanding.

Thanks for your reply, but I don't really want to pay a service centre (which actually isn't very local) to do something I can do myself (install a driver), I just need the driver. Can you supply the driver .bin for my model? (no idea why these aren't supplied as standard TBH).

Due to some models releasing keyboard firmware to optimize certain issues, these will be made available for download on the official support page for that specific model. Upon checking, the G513QM has not released any related firmware, so we are unable to provide it. This information is for your reference, thank you.
