Since I bought the laptop, I have had a lot of problems.
Sleep/Hibernate did not work, it would just crash. I had to reset and repair windows multiple times. ( Armour Crate is not installed and Power settings are not in Eco).
Recently the RTX 4070 randomly was not being recognized. I rolled back thee driver and everything is up to date (firmware, windows 11 pro...etc). It would not change.
Now the laptop has a black screen. External monitors do not work. The laptop starts up normally with a keyboard and indicator lights look like they are entering bios and windows.
I went through Asus steps of shutting down, unplugging everything, and holding power for 20-40 sec. Then starting. I waited for memory training, but nothing has changed.
I just recently went out of warranty

Just to further confirm, does the external monitor display the system interface correctly when connected? Additionally, can the main screen display properly when entering the BIOS interface?
If the main screen works fine in the BIOS interface, we recommend performing a system reinstallation via Cloud Recovery to test whether the issue improves. Thank you!

I attempted to use an hdmi and monitor from another computer that works on that system. There was no video.
The ROG Strix G17 2023 has an internal and dedicated graphics. The system kept seeing then not seeing the dedicated. In the bios, we attempted to test the dedicated graphics system by switching from dynamic to dgpu. This was a way to test if the Bios is having an issue or if it was a windows driver conflicting issue.
After this point, it was black screen and there is no way to switch back despite attempting to do a reset as per Asus guide instructions

I placed in my title black screen. I have no screen during the bios or any other point. External monitors do not function because it is attempting to use the dedicated graphics which do not appear to work.

Thank you for the information provided. Based on your description, since the laptop no display (neither in BIOS nor on external monitors), we recommend sending the laptop to the local service center for further hardware diagnostics to confirm the issue. Thank you.

I live in the middle nowhere population 800 people. There is nowhere to go. I requested assistance as there is suggestions to use a jig board to reset the laptop, but I am unable to find out where to obtain one.

Since the jig board is a specialized tool used by repair centers, we recommend that you contact your local contact center and send the device to repair center for inspection through logistics. Thank you.

I do not have a local service center. I am certified as is my husband. We would like to know how to get a jig board.
In my previous reply, I indicated that there are no local centers near me.

Have you taken apart the computer before? Is it possible you damaged the Monitor cables when removing/inserting into the slots, if you haven't perhaps disassembling, cleaning and reassembling could fix your issue, ensure the cables are removed and inserted correctly by lifting the black tab before removing and inserting and closing the black tab after inserting properly, the white line on the cables should line up the piece they insert into, if for some reason you pulled the cable while the black tab was down or clamped it without fitting it correctly it's likely they were damaged and need replacing which is most likely the case, try to hold Control+Shift+Windows key+B when starting up the comptuer as this does a screen reset and perhaps that may be all you need to get it functioning again, hold them for 30 seconds. If not your only other choice would be to bring it to a service center when you make a trip, best of luck!

I have been fixing computers since 1999 and my husband has been doing it since 1997. As I stated before we are both certified.
As stated in previous posts, the reset function does mot work. This is a problem discussed and posted everywhere
It is why I am requesting a jig board information ( a daughter board that can be used to manually reset the bios directly on the laptop.)
I also stated in previous posts that the closest service center is over 2 hrs away as I live in the middle of nowhere and have already indicated that they will not reset the board but unnecessarily ship it to Asus to replace the board and charge obscene amounts doing so.
I feel like nobody actually reads what I have posted.
I already indicated that the black screen did not occur until after the dgpu was set on the computer and the keyboard reset was not working which is why there is a black screen. If the cables were an issue then external monitoring would work but they dont since the setting is still on dgpu. As in dedicated gpu as in the problem that was the whole issue in the first place.
If you arent going to provide the name of the board to manually reset just stop replying please. You responses are not helpful and really read like you haven't read anything I posted
