Hi, i've recently bought my new gaming laptop ROG Strix G16 G614jv with a RTX 4060 and Core i9 13980hx

since I bought this laptop I had stutters and FPS drops in almost every game.

I tried everything I reinstalled my windows 4 times, reinstalled all of my drivers and.... nothing worked.

I play games on ultimate mode and fans are on turbo and laptop is pluged in.

I installed msi afterburner and I noticed something, whenever my fps drops my gpu wattage also drops I thing thats the problem

I will upload two pictures of when my drops and before thatthis is a picture of when my fps drops look at gpu wattagethis is a picture of when my fps drops look at gpu wattage

here is a picture of normal wattagehere is a picture of normal wattage

is it a hardware issue or software? I can't send it to warranty till March so I need to fix it myself

and sorry for my bad english I'm not native english speaker

Hi @Anbby_ROG ,

I am also facing a similar issue. I have a Rog Scar 16 G645jz  Intel i9 13900hx + rtx 4080.

GPU wattage drops from 175w to 40-50w.

Please help the service center people are of no help at all.

Hi, my problem was CPU thermal throttling. download HWinfo and play one of you're games, then check if you're cpu is thermal throttling or not.

the interesting thing in my laptop is that my cpu thermal throttles even though my temps are lower than 85 degress.
