ROG STRIX G16 dGPU not working to MB change By Engineer (I simply reject) a Story!!!!

Myself Kumaravel,

Mobile Gaming is a passion for me but I just Wanted explore games on Laptops!!!

It's All Started when I purchased my  First Laptop on  16 APRIL 2024 and I received it on 17 APRIL 2024 (AMAZON DAY DELIVERY) and i am so excited as child and i am jumping up and down for my first and new laptop which is a gaming laptop . Being a lower middle class to buying this things like a dream come true for me!

After a day I opened it because i ordered few items for my setup and it was super cool 🙂

  • Model: Asus Rog STRIX G16  (G614JJ)
  • Processor: 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-13450HX 2.40 GHz
  • Installed RAM: 16.0 GB
  • GPU Processor: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 6GB Laptop GPU

Where It all Started :

  •  First Week, It was super cool because of colorful lights, smooth experience ,smooth refreshing rate, and all . it went well.
  • Second Week ,I was so excited to play a game on this laptop, So I download steam and Installed APEX LEGENDS and PUBG. I played this games hmmm it was super good experience. i love to playing the games in this laptop.
  • Third Week ,I thought i got a great laptop , Everything was going great till now let's wait and see a month and give full rating in amazon and  suggest this laptop to my friends circle .
    • Everyday i update everything and start my day on the laptop.
    • A Fine Wednesday Morning i was woke up and started My Laptop and Open My Game a error message came like DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG.
    • I thought it's a normal issue after restart my pc all things will work normally ,but i was wrong.
    • I watched every tutorial from A-Z like watching a 20-30 mins video asking chat-gpt everything i did won't help me , i thought steam maybe having some issue that's why i can't able to play the games and all . So, I reinstall the game and everything went in vain nothings work out.
    • So, I decided to play another game while opening PUBG it's not opening at all in a single time .After that i don't know what to do it's been a month but i am facing so many issues oh god i am so sad and went to depressions.
    • Then , Another issue taken the place which is Application has been blocked from accessing Graphics Hardware .
    • Day by Day i was having only problems and issues with my laptop only and i kept it for 2 days without doing anything.

  • I thought Once i Reset the PC Means Everything Will Be okay but i did Reset first it again i installed updated everything a-z , installed the game and opened it same issue different games not opening at a single time.
  • After 3-5 days again I reset with proper clean cloud installation with proper reset, and i downloaded it no response same thing happens every time.
  • Depression went at peak from the morning to night i watch every solutions but nothing helps me out.
  • And it's been a month only i am facing so many things that are totally new to me.
  • Finally I found that My NVDIA GPU is not working at all. That's what i found at  when i open the NVDIA control Panel and when i try to switch it NVDIA GPU mode my screen will freeze and my laptop will hang and it restart automatically and went to troubleshoot mode and i reinstalled with that mode.
  • After Everything i did same for the fourth time game won't open so i just quit all the efforts and just used my laptop for browsing and watching series on online.
  • Google Chrome also freezes while watching my favorite Anime ONE PIECE!!!  That is where i can't able to accept it and made a customer call to help me with my problem and give me a proper solution.
  • I got a call and i told my address and i get Follow up Mail also The service of support was very good but

  • Fri,7 June 
    • An Engineer Reached me on my Dm , Asking what is the problem i am facing and i explained him everything. He asked my exact location 
  • Sat,8 June
    • He Came to My Location and he taken some test and told me everything was good and let me check with your problem,
    • He checked with the drivers and reinstalled it with the official website latest driver , i think it was more than hour i don't know what to tell him , He said Everything was fine now check it now itself in fact i randomly downloaded a simple game called robolox , and he told try with big games ! You Guys know what?? The simple Game Even Not opening  i am really disappointed and he is in a hurry because another customer also calling him , he said to me it will be okay try with some big games and he went! 
    • After I Installed called the BIG GAMES application (name) has been blocked from using the graphics driver error came.

I don't know what to do next so again i started my routine to research and found this forum and i looked for an answer but i didn't found any so i just write my problem on this forum and you guys know what i got a reply from @Anbby_ROG

  • After this anbby connected with me and made a callback from the local service center team
  • Wed , 26 June 
    • An Engineer came and i explained the situations he sees the problem i am facing after checking he told me that The Error causing due to MOTHER BOARD issue i will change it for you? Is it okay for you? I said whatttt??? No ,Never ! 
    • It's Been a 2 month only and i didn't used for rough purpose in fact i just used it for browsing purpose only i don't allow you to change the MB i just escalate this issue to forum again and i am really frustrated by this G16.
    • I don't need any replacement take this laptop and give my money back I never use asus again!!! 
    • It Maybe a rude behavior but after going with all the things and having without knowledge and did so many research i was totally depressed sad and i didn't get a single satisfaction ,
    • Being a lower middle class and going with all this i can't take it sorry for the rude actions please kindly take this laptop and give my money back i will use the money for my STUDIES!
    • ALL THAT GLITTERS IS NOT GOLD #peace

This is they type of stuff that's been happening to a lot of asus customers laptops, yet another prefect story to send to gamer nexus on youtube.
