ROG Strix G15 Advantage edition DC power Jack not working

When this laptop works it is great, but the problem is recently it does not work. The DC power jack has become very finicky to the point were if i don't have the cord angled perfectly it losses connection and now it has come to the point where I cannot get it to consistently stay connected enough to play games. I thought maybe the cord had become too bent so I ordered a new one but the same issue was happening. So this amazing laptop has lost nearly all its original capability due to ASUS's poor design and build quality. When I contacted Asus support via email asking for a quote to repair the DC port I was told they cannot give me a quote and that there was no known issue regarding my laptops DC power jack, something I do not understand because I see many forum posts regarding this exact issue. I was also told that I would be charged an $85 diagnostic fee. From what I can see on google some people report paying nearly $250+ just to have the port repaired + that $85 diagnostic fee. I have come to the conclusion that unless ASUS can give me an actual quote I will most likely just buy a MacBook and build a new gaming pc. why would I spend all that money just to have this thing potentially break again? I wont even go into how I originally had the laptop brick on me for no reason and had to send it back under warranty thankfully.

the moral of the story is gaming laptops are too unreliable to be daily driven it is better to just get a MacBook and have an actual gaming pc because the amount of time and headaches you will save your self is invaluable and you certainly don't save money constantly having to send it in for repairs.

Due to differences in repair costs and parts availability across regions, the service center can only confirm the actual repair fee after inspection. If you are experiencing a loose connection while using the original power adapter and cable, please first check whether there is any dust or looseness inside the socket.
Please avoid attempting to disassemble the device yourself to prevent damage to the motherboard.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

This is more than an “inconvenience” this laptop has been useless since the DC jack that Asus shipped died.

I have checked for dust and I am pretty sure it is just a bad port but Asus refuses to tell me how much it costs to replace one of those and when I google it I see many threads on both this forum and Reddit saying they had to pay hundreds of dollars +$85 diagnostic fee. Also I saw many posts saying they sent it in to be repaired only to have it fail again. So I have contact Asus support about this and was told to wait 2 days for an email. That is not how you handle customers who have a problem with a bad design. Therefor I have decided to just order the components to build a new pc and never buy another Asus product again.
