Rog strix 18 2024 requiring to press power button twice to get it to turn on after sleep mode

after it automatically enters sleep mode when connected to power, i would have to press the power button twice. after the first time, the logo would show and the "woosh" would happen with the sound. then it the screen would remain black and so will the keyboard. then i would have to press it again, and the same thing would happen with the logo and woosh would happen and it would exit sleep mode. is this normal behavior?
