IMG_0125.pngIMG_0129.pngc22a4358-b898-42c7-ac14-647960fbb5b3.jpegI had posted a thread here on the 18th of June of how my diplay on my Zephyrus g16 was not working after i set my gpu to ultimate in armoury crate and restarted my laptop. I took my laptop to my nearest service center on the 19th, they opened and inspected my laptop and accepted it for repairs and told me my warranty would cover it. Today on the 25th, they called me to their location and told me a chip was missing on my motherboard and had been tampered with and that they would not repair my laptop and my warranty would not work. They then tried to make me sign their service form to close the ticket.

I did not sign their form or accept the device. I will probably have to approach the courts here and in the worst case scenario, am possibly looking at INR 200,000 going down the drain.

Terrible experience, I do not recommend asus devices to anyonec22a4358-b898-42c7-ac14-647960fbb5b3.jpegIMG_0125.pngIMG_0129.png

FINAL UPDATE
Asus India sided with me and agreed that the device was not opened prior to me submiting it to the service center. They agreed that a wrong board was ordered for my laptop. The service center put in a new 6gb vram board and returned the laptop to me. No charges were incurred.
