ROG Flow 13 battery and charging issue GZ301ZE

I think I have this finally figured out. I have had this computer for almost a year and have been able to use it for a few months...Anyways. The issue is the computer will not detect a charger and would drive the computer to zero with no way to power it, as it does not detect power at this point either. The first part was swapping batteries to get the computer running, as the charge would not connect. I swapped it out and it started right up off what was in the battery. I quickly rolled back updates...nothing. Still the same issue. Updated all drivers. Uninstalled ARMORY Crate and reinstalled. Uninstalled nvidia and reinstalled. Reinstalled a new copy of windows...still did not fix. Although, the Rollback and pushing different updates did enable the port to receive PD power and PD power only. This was a great limp, but would over heat while "off" and wouldn't go into turbo and quite slow charging. This was fine until the power drain while "OFF" tanked another charger. Yes, the draw is too much and fried another power adapter (I have used a bunch in this process to figure this issue out). Although, this last one got me thinking. In edit power plan go to advanced. Under processor management minimum look at what it is set to. Mine was capped at 100% for minimum the whole time!!!!! now it doesn't try to fry my legs looking at a spreadsheet! However, I did this and updated the intel chipset drivers again. Although, I did not use any ROG or ASUS utility. I did before and it did nothing. After I installed the chipset directly from intel chipset utility. This is what fixed it. The power setting helped to stop frying chargers and the chipset fixed USB4 functionality. No more PD unless it is a PD charger. Charges while off (which when it was messed up it would only drain and not charge while off). This process took me since October to figure out going back and forth with a backup computer. In the middle of school and another job I couldn't replace it. Glad I didn't now, This thing is amazing!...now that it works again lol

This worked for me. Hope it can save a few months of troubleshooting for someone else. Oh, and good luck if you try to charge the internal battery not in the computer. It locks. I had to just replace with a different to get any charge initially.

Basically: update battery setting to eliminate it staying at full CPU power all the time

Update intel chipset not in ASUS, use the INTEL website and INTEL Chipset Tool

A week later and low temps still. Turbo is still active and avatilable. I have not had any battery or charger issues after the fix. Although, I did upgrade the charger to the new ROG GAN charger and it works perfect.A week later and low temps still. Turbo is still active and avatilable. Just a note. I did a lot of different updates, driver updates, bios updates, and hundreds of other ways to fix this issue. This is just the one that finally worked for me.

Make sure you change your charger. I gave myself a scare and thought the problem returned....it was because the old charger it ruined due to thermal protection doesn't supply enough power anymore. I used my replacement charger and it is good (don't be like me, throw the bad charger away and do not use it again! I was using the old one as a lower powered phone charger next to it and used it on accident). If your computer was put at 100% CPU and was getting hot, I doubt your power supply is good anymore as well. Just a note of caution if you try to fix it : )
