I recently got a rog g513IM-us73 from a friend fr free (super greatful for them), but im running into some keyboard issues. The main issues are
1. delete(not backspace)/insert key doesnt work* but does with an external keyboard**
2. right arrow button doesnt work* but does with an external keyboard**
3. only the red aspect the the rgb backlight doesnt work.
Story:
I got this laptop from a very good friend who is amazing! When i first got it, I got an ssd (he took his out for clear reasons), installed it, and made sure all the connectors were plugged in, and booted it up for the first time and installed windows. during the instal process, none of the rgb (keyboard or case) lights worked, and the keyboard didnt do anything. i continued with externall keyboard, and used it for a while, and then the keyboard randomly started working and lights lit when booting up the laptop randomly. since then, it has been great, except that i use the right arrow key and delete key a lot, and they basically force me to resart my laptop.
* If the right arrow key is pressed, it types out "+9egh\8-" and if it is pressed more than once in a row (or something like that) all the keys stop working as normal with behaviors as if the alt key is permanently held down. this also affects external keyboards. sometimes if i press fn+right arrow, it will fix itself, but not all the time, so i need to restart my laptop
* When i press the delete key, it types out "37`S" and sometimes repeats a key until i input something, and it turns on caps lock.
** none of the weird text "activates" (lack of better word) when used from an external keyboard, but the after affects from pressing the certain keys affect internal and external keyboards
*** i bought a replacement keyboard from amazon and plugged it in before installing (i am glad that i did) and the same problems persist (delete/insert key, right arrow key, only red rgb not working)
I did infact install armory crate, aura sync, and did all driver/bios updates. I also contacted customer support and did quite a bit of stuff that they said would work, but it didnt. Any help would be extremely appreciated.
