Randomly freezing

Hi everyone, I’m hoping for some help with my brand-new ROG Zephyrus G16 (GU603VV), which is only a week old. I’ve had to factory reset it twice already due to various problems, including errors in the Armoury Crate files. After the first reset, I started getting multiple blue screens, though there were no specific error messages—just a screen showing 0%, which I assume means it was updating something.

I finally stopped getting blue screens for two days, but now the laptop has started freezing randomly (this happens when it's unplugged). I’ve noticed it hasn’t frozen while plugged in, but I’m not sure if that’s a fix. I’ve tried every solution I could find online—updating all drivers, BIOS, running MyASUS Health Check, and resetting—but nothing seems to help. The freezing happens during any task, even simple ones like typing this message. When it freezes, I have to reset the laptop because waiting doesn’t solve the problem.

If anyone has any suggestions or has experienced this before, I’d really appreciate your input!

Hi @Jskddjdbdnkxofo ,

Have you updated the BIOS to the latest version 313, and tested with the ASUS-verified NVIDIA Graphic Driver Version V31.0.15.3168 and Intel Graphic Driver Version V31.0.101.4502?

You mentioned that the issue only occurs when the laptop is not connected to power. Have you connected any external devices or upgraded/added any SSD or RAM? Thank you.

Could you check dm, idk why i m not able to post here

I've checked the BIOS and graphics drivers. The Intel driver version matches (V31.0.101.4502), but my NVIDIA driver is 32.0.15.6094 (dated 14/08/2024). My BIOS is version 314 (not 313), updated on 07/09/2023.

My laptop specs are:

  • OS: Windows 11 Home (Build 22631)
  • Model: ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16 GU603VV
  • Processor: Intel Core i9-13900H, 2.6 GHz, 14 Cores
  • RAM: 32 GB
  • SSD: 1TB (factory-installed)

The issue only happens when unplugged. Any other updates or checks I should try? Thanks!
