Hi guys, I've had an R554L laptop for ~9 years now, so it's definitely been getting up there in terms of age. Surprisingly, it still runs almost everything I need just fine! However, for a couple of years now, the laptop's screen goes completely black if it's unplugged. It's not an issue with the entire laptop either - connecting it to a second monitor via HDMI shows that the computer is on and works perfectly fine even when the screen is black.
Originally, I thought this was an issue with the battery since it's so old. But I recently replaced the battery and it's still showing these problems. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening or how to fix it?
