Hi,
Lately I get higher temps than usual - from about 85-90 to 90-95 degrees. It basically heats up the entire laptop including the screen.
Can please advise on the temps? it's way too hot to enjoy gaming (CP77) and it's super loud. the room is not that cooled, but the airflow is good in the room and also laptop inclined so have bottom space for airflow.
Thanks,
Arie

Hi @ArieP86 ,
I would like to confirm with you, have you tested the Turbo mode or manual mode in Armoury Crate for performance settings?
Does the overheating issue occur with every game? Are there any instances of lagging or stuttering?
Additionally, could you please verify if your BIOS has been updated to the latest version 318 and if you are using the ASUS-certified version V31.0.15.3645 of the NVIDIA display driver?
Thank you for your cooperation.

Hi,
The bios is 319 version and the nvidia is with latest 545.92, the nvidia is not the issue it gets 75-80 degrees. Only the CPU is overheating.. even when I am writting now with no other gaming processes running it's 75-80 degrees, per XTU with peak of 87 degrees. In Armoury Crate I am always using the Ultimate mode for gaming.
Happens on AC Mirage (CPU almost always 90+ degrees) and CP77 (CPU at peaks 90+ degrees, always 85+ degrees), Endless dungeon is reaching the 90 degrees most of the time.
I have this laptop for about 6-7 months, seems too unstable for this age laptop.

Do you have any stuttering or microfreezing?
Because I have a similar situation with the same laptop. It constantly heats up to 96 degrees and throttles. What did they tell you about this problem?

From what the manual says 100 is normal. I do as well see cpu at 100 on my rog duo 16 ryzen 7k series. Using Manual mode. But I'm curious if Armoury crate is not displaying correct temps. Because I feel the air and it doesn't feel like 100 more like 80s.
i don't experience stuttering while gaming either. and with a cooling pad I personally built.

Certainly, the i9-13980HX is a high-performance CPU with a powerful Turbo Boost capability. As a result, the wattage of the CPU can instantly reach very high levels, leading to a rapid increase in CPU temperature. You can refer to this link for more information on CPU temperature. However, if you are experiencing lag or other issues while gaming, we need to investigate the actual reasons for these problems.

The link talks about intel, same for amd cpu?

Hi @reddot911 ,
Since AMD official documentation does not provide specific details regarding CPU temperature, rest assured that AMD employs similar technology. Each CPU model has its corresponding temperature range. We hope this information is helpful for your reference. Thank you .
