Hi,
So i have recently starting setting my laptop to Optimised Mode most of the time in Armory Crate so when i unplug my laptop the DGPU disconnects and when i plug my laptop in to charge the DGPU reactivates as it should e.g. i can see that it reappears in task manager, However the manage display mode option does not reappear again e.g. it's no longer visible in both the icon tray and from the Nvidia control panel meaning that my laptop is stuck in Optimus mode and i can't select Nvidia Gpu only. To fix this i have to reboot my laptop which is quite annoying.
Model: ROG Zephyrus g16 ga605wi - AMD Ryzen AI 9, RTX 4070
AMD Driver: Version V32.0.13022.1001
Nvidiad driver : Latest nvidia driver installed from Nvidia app
I am admittedly using the latest NVIDIA drivers installed from the nvidia app due to the one on the Asus website being extremely out of date (2024). - Please get these drivers updated.
Could others let me know if they also have the same issue please?

@Ajanni
Please use DDU to remove the current NVIDIA driver, then go to the ASUS official support page (for the GA605WI model) to download and install the following:
NVIDIA graphics driver version V32.0.15.6607
AMD graphics driver version V32.0.13022.1001
After installation, restart your computer and check if the issue has been resolved.

Hi Falcon ,
Thanks did this actually manage to fix my issue, i guess it may have been an incompatibility with the generic NVIDIA drivers. Did ASUS tech team get back to you about updating the NVIDIA drivers for this laptop? They are dated all the way back to 2024

Generally speaking, the driver versions provided on the ASUS official website have undergone comprehensive testing and verification to ensure system stability and compatibility. Even if NVIDIA releases newer generic versions, ASUS will not update to the latest version immediately unless there are significant fixes or improvements specific to this model.
Therefore, although the NVIDIA driver currently available on the official website may appear outdated, it is a stable version that has been validated by ASUS for your laptop’s hardware and software environment. If a new version passes internal testing in the future, it will be updated on the official download page accordingly.
