New version Armoury Crate - removed hotkeys?

tim091

Like many others I have had constant issues with the customisable hotkeys stopping working.

Today I was prompted to update Armoury Crate to V6.1.13.0. and I hoped perhaps this would fix the problem.

Worse: there is NO customisable hotkeys section that I can find anywhere!!

Anyone any ideas as to how I now assign actions to the five hotkeys??

After confirming, the "Customizable Hotkeys" setting does not appear in Armoury Crate because the new version requires the installation of the Assistant module for this setting to be available.

Please click on the "Assistant" tab and select "Get Started" to install the module. After installation, check the hotkeys settings in the "Device" section and let us know if it works. Thank you.

I have the same problem. I am a heavy user of the hotkeys, and I hate that they messed up a key feature of their software like this fml.

However, I did notice that in Settings > Update Center, they do seem to have a Customizable Hotkeys module. Mine even says its installed with the following version and release dates. Its just that there is no way to configure them through the rest of the application.

Really hoping someone at ASUS sees this quick.

Yeah, I noticed that Customizable Hotkeys module and it was installed AFTER the update to this latest AC version!

Thank you for your reply. I just wanted to further confirm whether you have tried uninstalling Armoury Crate using the uninstall tool, and then reinstalling and Armoury Crate to see if there is any improvement?

Additionally, could you please provide the device's serial number? This will help us better investigate the issue. Thank you!

@Anbby_ROG I couldn't uninstall AC as it doesn't show in Add/Remove Programs bizarrely! I will try the "Uninstall Tool" and report back.

Serial number is: NC__

Hi All,

We released a new Uninstall Tool Version 2.2.15.0 on March 13.
Please try using this version to uninstall Armoury Crate and then reinstall it to see if the issue is resolved. Thank you.

I used the new uninstall tool to remove AC. Restarted laptop and installed AC.

Still no hotkeys.

I went to Update and there were two available, one being the hotkeys application. It downloaded and then installed (the installation part took a microsecond, so it is either a tiny program or it didn't install.

Bottom line is still no hotkeys.
