My pc turns on with the screen off and then turns off

Zanno
Level 7

I have a ROG Scar 16 with 13980HX, RTX 4080 and 32gb ram. I’ve been having this problem for a month and i got the computer in the first days of september. The pc randomly shut down and it doesn’t turn on again. The first times it happened i just had to wait and after a couple tries it turned on, but now it doesn’t turn on anymore.

The exact thing that happens is: i click che power button, the pc and keyboard leds turn on and the monitor remains black, after like 30 seconds the leds turn off with the red animation that it used to do when i turn it off.

I also have a monitor connected to the pc and it says that there’s no video input.

I don’t know what to do please help 😭

I would like to confirm if you have removed all external devices and tested with the original power adapter to see if it can start normally?

Also, have you recently installed or replaced the SSD or RAM? Thank you!

Yes i did that. I used the original power adapter since the beginning and to try turning it on i unplugged everything from it but it doesn’t work. I didn’t replace neither ram or ssd, but i was planning to update the ssd. Fortunately i didn’t do so. I’m scared the pc won’t turn on ever again 😭
