I have a USB-C cable attached to the right USB C port. The monitor is an Asus gaming monitor with gsync and Display port 1.4. The internal monitor is disabled when external is in use.
I also have 2 logitech mouse and keyboard USB wireless recievers attached to the other USB ports.
Laptop appears to opertate fine when the monitor is not connected. however once I connect it Windows starts freezing up and hanging randomly.
I highly suspect it's something to do with the USB controller and drivers. Not long ago I also tried connecting an external SSD with a good quality USB C cable and with no monitor attached and Windows locked up the same way.

I think i fixed it. Fingers crossed.
I did a clean reinstall of Windows 11. Issues STILL continued.
But then I went to the Nvidia control panel - Manage 3D settings - Prefferred graphics processor - High-perfomance NVIDIA processor.
No more stuttering hang ups or freezes.
