Long BIOS update

Hello,  I have a 2023 ROG STRIX .  The ASUS app showed I needed a few software updates, including the BIOS.

After downloading and running the 3 updates my computer has been on a black screen for about 20 hours.   The red led has been lit on the power button the entire time.   The keyboard led's and two small white led's across the top of the keyboard have also been lit the entire time as well as the fans have been running and the laptop airflow staying warm. I haven't noticed the computer restart dinning this entire time after the initial downloading and starting the process.  The laptop has been plugged into a A/C power source the entire time and has a good lithium battery.

I've read a few instances where a BOIS update took an insane amount of time.  Just not sure at what point to attempt a restart or just let it ride and for how long?

A couple things that may or may not matter...  I set windows 11 to not shut off the laptop when the lid was closed and to not shut off the laptop when the power button was pushed.  I was doing some large file transfers on back up drives and didn't want my cat or my kids to screw that process up accidentally.

Also, I noticed two times, during previous use, where the display time on the bottom right corner of windows did not match the time in other apps on the laptop.   I intended to change the CMOS battery, but forgot all about it until I started researching about the long delay in updating the BIOS.

Any advice on at what point to try to do something to force a restart and what should that be.   Also,  switching the CMOS battery.  Should I let all this resolve, then change that?
