Hi,
I hope you're doing well.
I am encountering persistent issues with my ASUS ROG Strix G814-JZR laptop that I purchased just two months ago. Despite trying different driver versions, I’m experiencing frequent BSODs, and I cannot run essential tasks like NPM commands effectively. When I try to run these commands, they start but stop unexpectedly, making it impossible to complete my work.
I’ve already contacted ASUS support, provided detailed information, and shared my minidump files for review. After waiting 7–10 days, they suggested downgrading my Windows version from 24H2 to 23H2. I followed their advice, but unfortunately, the issues persist.
It’s quite disheartening to face these problems with a brand-new laptop, especially one that I was excited to work on. I’m reaching out for guidance to identify a stable graphics driver version for my system or any other steps I can take to resolve these problems.
If there’s any additional information you need from my side, please let me know—I’m happy to share whatever might help troubleshoot this further.
Looking forward to your assistance.
Best regards,
Asif

Since you have already followed the troubleshooting steps provided by customer support but the issue persists, please use the AsLogDumpTool to capture system information after the BSOD occurs. Additionally, kindly record the time the issue happens and the error code. This will help us further investigate and clarify the problem. Thank you.

I’m frequently facing Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) errors, including
CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT
SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
The CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT and SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION errors are the most common. They occur even when the system is in an idle state with just Google Chrome open. I also encounter these BSODs during resource-intensive tasks, like installing Visual Studio 2022.

According to the log information, the current system version remains 24H2. May I ask if you have tried resetting the system to 23H2 via Cloud Recovery and installing only ASUS-verified drivers and software through MyASUS to test the issue?
The BSOD errors seem to point to various Windows processes causing memory data errors or memory overflow, suggesting that a program might be consuming significant system resources (CPU/RAM). The system kernel power events also include logs related to CPU performance limitation.
One of the BSOD incidents was caused by the suspicious program Tiworker.exe. Please check if there are any background processes associated with Tiworker, such as programs utilizing the Microsoft .Net Framework. If so, this might be related to the installation of Visual Studio 2022. We recommend uninstalling Visual Studio to test if the BSOD still occurs.
The above information is provided for your reference. Thank you.

Hi,
I’d like to provide some background on the issue. I purchased a brand-new ASUS G814-JZR laptop in November 2024. It came pre-installed with Windows version 23H2. However, within 5–7 days of usage, I started experiencing frequent BSODs, as I mentioned previously. Initially, I suspected the issue might be related to corrupted system files or outdated pre-installed software, so I updated the system to version 24H2. Unfortunately, this did not resolve the issue, and the BSODs persist to this day.
To troubleshoot, I installed some drivers via MyASUS, and others were automatically installed by Windows. Additionally, I ran a system diagnostic through MyASUS, which reported that the hardware is 100% functional without any issues.
Regarding Tiworker.exe, I understand it is associated with the Windows Update service that runs during updates. However, I’ve been encountering BSODs frequently, even when the system is idle or with minimal processes running in the background. I want to emphasize that, at the moment, I haven’t installed anything besides the operating system and Google Chrome. Despite this, the issue persists.
I’ve also gathered the Minidump files for further analysis. Here’s the link for your reference: Minidump File Link I hope these files can help provide deeper insights into the root cause of the problem.
Please advise on potential solutions or the next steps to resolve this persistent issue.
Thank you!

Thank you for providing the information. Since the current logs all indicate 24H2, we are unable to determine whether the issue is caused by known problems in 24H2. Therefore, we recommend performing a Cloud Recovery to reset the system to 23H2 and testing by installing only ASUS-verified drivers and software via MyASUS. This will help clarify the issue.
If you have concerns about this step, we suggest sending your device to a local service center for a detailed hardware and software inspection to identify the root cause of the problem. If possible, please share your RMA number with us via private message, and we will follow up on your RMA case. Thank you for your understanding.
