Hello, for the past two days, I’ve noticed an uncomfortable situation, namely that my ASUS ROG G18 laptop shuts down by itself even though the battery is more than half charged. The most difficult issue is restarting it, as it won’t start unless I plug the charger in. After that, it works normally. The battery charges and discharges correctly, so I don’t see an issue with the battery. That said, I had a request for an update for Armory Creator and Aurora Wallpaper. Since then, my laptop has been acting up. I’ve now uninstalled Aurora Wallpaper and that update for Armory Creator.

May I ask if the issue has improved after removing the update? Please try testing by disconnecting all external devices and power sources while the laptop is turned off. Then, press and hold the power button for 40 seconds to perform an EC reset, and try turning it on to test. Thank you.

I tried the 40 sec method, but it didn't work. it seems that it shuts down automatically and doesn't start at all until I charge it. and what it means EC reset?

EC reset can restore the hardware in your device to its default state.
If the issue persists after performing the EC reset, we recommend that send the laptop to a local service center for further hardware inspection to identify the actual problem. Thank you.
