Installing additional nvme m2 in asus strix g16 - advice on thermal pads

I have recently purchased an Asus ROG Strix G16 (2025) G615 (model:G615LR-S5191W - intel version) and want to add an additional nvme m2 in the vacant slot. Asus youtube video shows replacing exsisting by using the existing thermal pad and graphite sheet. Howevr, none is supplied for the vacant slot and neither does Asus offer the items for sale as an accessory. The SSD will be the main storage drive, the OS will be on the existing drive which I will not be removing.

My questions are:

1) Should I apply a thermal pad to the new memory

2) Would it be ok to leave out the graphite sheet?

3) Any thoughts on the suitable thickness of the thermal pad

4) Should the pads be applied on top AND underneath the SSD

5) Can anyone recommend a supplier for the pads/graphite

Thanks in anticipation

We do not sell the related parts. If needed, we recommend installing commercially available thermal pads to help with heat dissipation. Typically, 0.5 mm or 1.0 mm pads are used; please confirm the actual clearance during installation to avoid using pads that are too thick. In general, applying the pad only to the top (chip side) of the SSD is sufficient. Thank you.

Thank you for the speedy response. Given the high cost of the laptop I'm amazed that ASUS does not supply a matching set of thermals to the ones on the installed nvme?

Thank you for the speedy response. I am amazed that given the high cost of the laptop that ASUS does not include an additional  matching thermal set as per the installed memory. The cost to ASUS would be negligible but would at least indicate they value and support their customer base
