Dear ASUS Support Team,
I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to bring to your attention a critical issue I've encountered with the latest BIOS update, version 317, for the GA503R laptop model.
It appears that there's a mix-up in the fan control settings within Armory Crate. Specifically, the GPU and CPU fan curves seem to be swapped erroneously. As a result, adjustments made to the GPU curve impact the rotation speed of the CPU fan, and vice versa. This unexpected behavior significantly affects the thermal management of the system and can potentially lead to performance issues and overheating.
Upon further investigation, I found that this issue is unique to BIOS 317. Previous versions (311, 313, 315) do not exhibit this problem. However, it's worth noting that in BIOS versions 311, 313, and 315, when the GPU enters Power Save mode, the GPU fan fails to engage entirely, which could potentially lead to overheating and performance issues.
As an enthusiast and a loyal user of ASUS products, I believe it's crucial to address this issue promptly to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of your hardware. I kindly request that you escalate this matter to your development team for thorough investigation and rectification.
Clear communication regarding this issue and its resolution will be highly appreciated by the community of users who rely on ASUS products for their computing needs. Please let me know if you require any further information or assistance from my end to expedite the resolution process.
