My laptop gets extremly hot when playing wow classic.. Its a 20yr old game that lags on the most expensive laptop in the market. If i knew what i know today i would never have bought this computer.
I found a thread that said i should turn of all asus services, i also turned of all lightning and everything i could find without compromising the performance of using the computer. I spent countless hours trying to adapt the computer to compensate for the overheating. I read that im not the only one having issues with this laptop.
what more to be done?

Have you updated the BIOS to the latest version 323 and tested using the ASUS-validated NVIDIA graphics driver version V32.0.15.6100 and Intel graphics driver version V31.0.101.5235?
Please try setting the GPU mode to Ultimate Mode and the fan mode to Turbo Mode in Armoury Crate during gameplay. This will help test if there are any improvements. Thank you.

I Uninstalled armoury crate, tried to set cpu and gpu power to 80w. Uninstalled everything. Game still lags when i have 1 tab in chrome or firefox or explorer. Computer sitting at 92C. Disabled g sync and and tweaked back and forth. NOTHING works. I feel sorry for the people who bought this computer espacially for thoose who plays more demanding games than wow classic. Its a ******ing joke to be frank.

Due to Armoury Crate's ability to control fan speeds based on usage scenarios, could you please try installing Armoury Crate and manually adjusting the fan settings to see if the temperature improves?
Additionally, could you confirm whether you've replaced or added any SSD/RAM, and if you are using the original charger for the laptop?
Please download HWinfo and record a gameplay video so that we can perform further analysis. Thank you!
[Steps to Record a Log Using HWinfo]
1.Launch HWinfo in ""Sensors-only"" Mode
2.Keep HWinfo Running During the Test
3.Stop Logging
Notes:
Due to language limitations, please go to the ""Settings"" menu on the main screen and change the language to English to facilitate data review by the technical team.

Hello sir, you are correct that many folk are having heating issues and nobody has seemed to have found the solution until now, I can assure you it's not a Thermal Paste issue, not a PSU issues, not even a cleaning issue, the issue falls solely on Microsoft Windows for removing Key features which left the OS in a poorly optimized stated, in order to fix this all you will have to do is follow this guide posted below, afterwards you should no longer experience any crash under any circumstance unless it is hardware related. Please note that if you change or upgrade SSDs you will need to reapply this guide to the newly upgraded SSD, best of luck and Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays!
