Hi everyone,
I’m currently having a strange performance issue with my ASUS ROG Strix G15 #G513RM
After Reinstall Windows
(Ryzen 7 6800H + #RTX3060 Laptop GPU)
The GPU core clock is stuck extremely low:
• ~210 MHz on normal mode
• ~255 MHz in Turbo mode
But the weird thing is:
• NVIDIA monitoring shows power draw up to ~300W
• PerfCap Reason frequently shows Pwr or Thermal
• Even when the system is completely idle
• GPU temperature is always below 60°C
• GPU utilization may show 0–100% randomly
• Can't Open Game Visual On Armoury Crate
So GPU is acting like it is power-throttling or thermal-throttling,
but the temperature is low and there’s no real load happening.
This results in very low performance and low clock no matter what.
I have already tried:
• Latest NVIDIA drivers
• GPU drivers from ASUS support as well
• Uninstall Graphic Driver Using DDU & Reinstall Driver
• Turbo mode + Discrete GPU Only in Armoury Crate
• Ultimate Performance power plan in Windows
• Disabled all limiters (Game Bar / V-Sync / background capture)
• Verified cooling is working properly (fans normal)
Still no change — the GPU clock remains locked to 210–255 MHz.
Has anyone else experienced this issue on the #G513RM
Is there any known BIOS / firmware fix or configuration needed
Any help from ROG engineers or other users would
be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

I've taken it to a service center in Indonesia, and the BIOS version is the latest 327, but it still doesn't fix the problem. They even suggested replacing the motherboard at an unreasonable price. I assume the damage is probably due to a corrupt or faulty firmware on the Embedded Controller (EC). Can it be reflashed? I've asked the service center, and they said they can only flash the BIOS and not the EC.
Is there another solution to this problem?
