GL502VMK Ram Problem

CncMinifix55
Level 7

I updated the BIOS to version GL502VMK.308.
Then my Ram usage did not go above 8 Gb unless I entered the game. My Fps in games was terrible. Normally I got 170 Fps in a game like League Of Legends, and I suddenly dropped to 60 Fps. Even now Discord, Spotify and Firefox are open and my Ram usage looks like this.

I tried to go back to my old Bios version. I made a lot of settings from Windows, but I could not normalise the Ram usage. Can you help?

Hi @CncMinifix55 ,

Based on the screenshot you provided, the memory usage is 10.9GB out of a total capacity of 16GB.
There could be many reasons for the drop in game FPS. Since BIOS 308 has been released for a while, I would like to confirm if this issue has only started occurring recently. How are the CPU/GPU temperatures performing during your gameplay?

Please refer to the steps in this link to see if it improves the situation:

Thank you.

The reason for the Fps drop is definitely my bios update.Because 10 minutes before the bios update, I got 180 FPS in League Of Legends, I entered the game immediately after updating and I get 59-60 fixed. Also, this applies to all games, my Fps has dropped significantly in most games and my ram usage is constantly constant.Fps games only use 2 Gb Ram.Do you think this is normal?

Hi @CncMinifix55 ,

Since the release of BIOS 308 for the GL502VMK in 2019, we have not received similar complaints from other users.
I would like to confirm the GPU/CPU temperature performance during gaming. Could you provide a video showing the FPS drop in-game and send the laptop serial number via private message so we can further investigate? Thank you.

My processor temperature is always above 90 degrees and I have been using it the same way for 2 years. The maintenance was done just 1 month ago and the temperature values are still the same. So the temperature values do not contribute to the fps. As seen in the clip, when there is too much conflict, my FPS drops to 40s.
