2025 strix scar 16 purchased a week ago. Was running ok if a bit buggy, I thought I just needed to learn the nuances and continue updating things. Would frequently utilize far more CPU than GPU when playing games like forza and destiny, and would struggle. I changed the power setting to the highest one that requires reboot (full GPU use). Now the internal display stopped working. So windows and myasus could not detect the internal display, only my external monitor. However on bootup the rog logo shows on the internal display and the camera still works with Windows hello ... Seems like the display works but maybe software issues? Also tried changing settings in armoury crate but the system wont allow me to change the power mode saying its handled by a setting in nvidia, Nvidia control panel does not have said setting, windows does not have said setting. Tried to change this in bios, this worked 1 time allowing me to switch back to the balanced/windows controlled setting. But it fixed nothing.
Now I cant access the bios. I have removed the SSD and that didn't work either.
Tried all the key combos like Ctrl win shift B
Reset windows (kept files) - not fixed
Reinstalled bios - not fixed
Installed older bios - not fixed
Can anyone help? For 2 days I've been watching videos and reading forums. Will contact Asus after this full Windows install (no files kept) is complete.
