Overview:
When I bought my laptop, it had a manufacturing defect with the HDMI port for which I got the motherboard replaced under ASUS warranty. Everything was fine until a year later, when I noticed that the fan noise was too loud when playing games. By then, my warranty with ASUS had expired and my extended warranty (valid till January 2026) with a wholesale shop (Oxygen Digital) helped diagnose and fix the issue.
Laptop Specifications:
Device name: ROG-STRIX-G15
Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 6800HS with Radeon Graphics (3.20 GHz)
RAM: 16.0 GB (2 x 8 GB @4800 MT/s)
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 (4 GB)
Storage: 1TB SSD
Current Problem:
Recently, my laptop started showing another problem that I started to worry. It simply restarts when I'm doing something such as browsing the web, going through my local files and even while using Excel. The screen goes black and then restarts. So far I haven't had any issues when I code or play heavy games. In the Event Viewer, I found various Errors, Warnings, and Critical level events. To be honest I don't know how to solve the errors that pop up in event viewer.
To try and resolve the issue, I updated all drivers of NVIDIA, AMD, and the ones in Armoury Crate, updated Windows, and made sure all apps are up to date.
NOTE: The issue happened even while I was writing this post with no other applications running in the background. Thankfully I was able to restore the browser pages as well the content that I've typed here.
Some of the events are listed below. They keep repeating each time it restarts on its own:
1. Error: "The COM+ registry database detected a system error"
2. Warning: "The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Launch permission for the COM Server application with CLSID Windows.SecurityCenter.WscDataProtection and APPID Unavailable to the user NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM SID (S-1-5-18) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC) running in the application container Unavailable SID (Unavailable). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool."
3. Error: "Session "ReadyBoot" stopped due to the following error: 0xC0000188"
4. Warning: "The maximum file size for session "ReadyBoot" has been reached. As a result, events might be lost (not logged) to file "C:\WINDOWS\Prefetch\ReadyBoot\ReadyBoot.etl". The maximum files size is currently set to 41943040 bytes."
5. Error: "The "Microsoft Pluton Cryptographic Provider" provider was not loaded because initialization failed."
6. Error: "0xD0004001: Cannot create the process for package ASUSAmbientHAL64_1.0.0.2_neutral__ecvjzhf6c4w7r because an error was encountered while configuring runtime. [FinishPackageActivation]"
7. Critical: "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly."
8. Warning: "The machine-default permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID {C2F03A33-21F5-47FA-B4BB-156362A2F239} and APPID {316CDED5-E4AE-4B15-9113-7055D84DCC97} to the user NT AUTHORITY\LOCAL SERVICE SID (S-1-5-19) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC) running in the application container Unavailable SID (Unavailable). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool."
9. Error: "The previous system shutdown at 2:58:12 PM on 8/7/2025 was unexpected."
Does anybody know what the issue is behind this? How can I make sure it doesn't happen again? A valuable insight or answer to this post will be very much appreciated. Any information that you require to diagnose this will be provided to the best of my ability.

Based on the described situation, it is likely caused by system instability. We recommend backing up your data and then restoring the system to confirm if the issue is resolved.

Hi @Falcon2_ROG. Thank you for your response.
I tried your troubleshooting. Backed up important data and reset the OS by following the guidelines in the video. Now however, the issue seems to persist when on battery power. I was coding in VS Code with enough battery (70%+) after the reset and my system restarted out of the blue. Thankfully I had auto save enabled so I was able to retain the code.
When connected on power adapter, it doesn't seem to restart. I'm guessing it's some problem with my battery or motherboard, maybe? Should I check-in with the wholesale shop from where I purchased this laptop? I have an extended warranty with them that is still valid. Is there anything else that I can do before giving it to them?

@lemorex286
It could be a battery or motherboard component failure. If your product is still under warranty, we recommend that you take your laptop to a service center for further inspection rather than attempting to disassemble or repair it yourself.
The following is the contact information:

Also you can contact the local service center for help.
