I have a ROG Asus Flow X16 which recently has given me a huge headache. I will try to describe the problem in as much detail as possible. Every time I used to slightly tilt or fold my laptop it detected a "folding movement" and quickly switched to the required mode, i.e. tent mode, tablet mode, vertical tablet and so forth. Every time it switches it displays a message indicating in which mode it is currently in. Recently that has stopped working, I no longer see the messages and no longer can switch between modes. It seems my laptop is now very confused about which mode it is currently in. For instance, my taskbar is shortened and there are checkboxes in file explorer, typical for the tablet mode, but my keyboard and touchpad still work.
I have tried all this :
I personally think it may very well be a hardware issue, or something has really gone wrong with the drivers for the sensor. If somebody might give me more insight into how this laptop detects rotation and folding it would be very appreciated!
Also, I have posted earlier about an issue which I think might be the consequence of this problem,

Hi @Standard ,
Due to the unknown model of your laptop, we recommend resetting the BIOS to default settings to see if it resolves the issue. If the problem persists, in order to better understand your situation, could you please record a video or take photos to help us further investigate the specific conditions under which the issue occurs? Thank you.

Hi @Anbby_ROG again,
My laptop model is GV601RM and my BIOS version is 318.
As I mentioned in my other post I have reset the BIOS to default settings. However, the issue is still present, my laptop is in this hybrid mode where it thinks it is a tablet but allows me to use the keyboard and the touchpad.
I was looking into some things and I think that the AMD UMDF Sensor might be causing the issue?
I have reinstalled and installed the newest drivers for that device but with no luck...
I am not even sure if this sensor has anything to do with the laptop knowing in which mode it is in, but if you need to know something about that device I will be very happy to provide the info.

Hi @Standard ,
Thank you for the information provided.
Could you please confirm if the 'Tablet' settings in the system configuration have been adjusted according to your usage requirements? Additionally, could you capture screenshots of the settings page and navigate to 'Change Other Tablet Settings' to provide us with screenshots of all the settings? This will help us better understand your usage scenario.
Furthermore, you mentioned that the keyboard and touchpad are still functional in tablet mode. Could you kindly record a short video to demonstrate this issue? Your cooperation is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hi,
In my Settings app I unfortunately don't see any "Change other Tablet settings" or any tablet settings except these two:
In Control panel I have these two:
I'm pretty sure that the lack of these settings in my Settings app is because ASUS software and drivers were used to detect changes in screen orientation and Windows had nothing to do with it, but maybe I'm wrong...
