Due to Microsoft’s native design incorporating Modern Standby, the system will enter a quick sleep mode as soon as the screen is closed. Additionally, because the design of laptops includes ventilation holes on the keyboard to assist with cooling and airflow, closing the screen while performing high-performance tasks (such as gaming or videos) may affect cooling and airflow.

To prevent internal components from being damaged by excessive heat, the system will activate a temperature protection mechanism. Therefore, even if the setting is configured to "Do nothing when the lid is closed," the system may still enter sleep mode. We hope this information clarifies the situation. Thank you for your understanding.

To speed up issue identification, please provide the product model, BIOS, and driver versions, along with the troubleshooting steps you've already tried to avoid redundant checks.
