I have been using ROG strix G17 with rtx4060 for 1 month. I have just noticed this issue. while watching video, color in dark spot is so oily and ugly. This only happen when using Ultimate GPU mode on armory crate. When using igpu everything looks fine. I can enjoy watching dolby vision content. But when on dgpu these content looks terrible. I'm not sure this issue happen in gaming or not. I did live update to all driver version and tried all setting on nvidia control panel but it did not work. Please let me know how to fix it. Thanks

@Anbby_ROG I have seen differences as well on my notebook between iGPU and dGPU when it shows gradients, banding is far more pronounced kn dGPU.
I captured same blizzard launcher which has circular gradients on the left and it looks much worse under dGPU.
My model is G834JY, Bios is 317, Asus control center is 3.1.17.0
iGPU
dGPU
See how much brighter and noticeable the circular banding is on the dGPU.

Product model : G713PV
BIOS version : 323
Asus system control interface : 3.1.17.0
After the lastest update the problem looks better, but the color from igpu still better than dgpu. Could you give me an explanation. What is the different between color processor from both gpu?

video from igpu
video from dgpu(rtx4060)
as you can see, the video from dgpu is darker , more contrast than video from igpu

Hi ALL,
Regarding the issue of color ramp, we have made improvements through the new version, V3.1.17, of the Asus System Control Interface.
We understand that everyone desires improved color accuracy on the dGPU . Our research and development department is also analyzing the discrepancies between the iGPU and dGPU to rectify this issue.
We will continue to monitor and improve this issue, and optimize it in subsequent updates.
