Default Scale (or screen size/recommended size) Looks zoomed. Need help.

My Laptop:
Asus Rog g16 RTX4070 2023 version.
Intel i9, 32GB Ram, 1TB SSD.

Yesterday I had a notification of windows update so I used "Update & Shut down" before going to sleep. I didn't check what update it was but today when I opened my pc the screen was unusually zoomed (Rog startup logo[2-3x bigger], Login page[2-3x bigger] , home screen, settings app and all other apps were scaled). I instantly checked the Scale if it somehow increased but not it was the same as before  200% (recommended). This was the scale size I had since I bought the laptop. But now the thing here is I noticed that at a irregular gap the zoomed 200% goes to normal 200% then reverts to zoomed state again.

I have attached images of the recent updates, the scale page, the zoomed screen of (200% after the update), luckily I managed to take a screenshot of the normal 200% home screen quickly before it changed back.

The picture below was taken after update.

Here my setting for icon size are small but as you can see it is still big.Screenshot 2024-11-25 183231.png

Things I have tried:

1. tried using Uninstall Updates option. But unusually I didn't see any recent ones there.

2. Did hard reboot

3. Tried uninstalling using Command prompt by manually typing the KB code of the update from the recent updates.

Result: update not found.

4.Since the recent feature update said 24H2. I tried checking if there was go back option in recovery. There was one. So I tried it but the result was still the same. windows went back to 23H2 but it was still unusually scaled.

I'm glad to hear that the display is working properly after reinstalling the drivers!
Unfortunately, Windows 11 does not provide an option to independently adjust the taskbar size; this is part of the system's design. Currently, the taskbar size in Windows 11 can only be adjusted by changing the icon size, and unlike earlier versions, you cannot freely adjust the height of the taskbar. If you are looking for more customization options for the taskbar, you may refer to the Microsoft support website or community forums to see if other users have offered alternative solutions. hope this information helps!

I would like to confirm the GPU mode setting in Armoury Crate when the screen issue occurs, as well as the screen resolution.

Have you tried using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to remove the current display drivers and then reinstalling the ASUS verified drivers? This may help to resolve the issue. Additionally, could you please try testing in Safe Mode to see if the display behaves normally?

Thank you!

How do I get "GPU mode setting in Armoury Crate"? If you're asking about GPU Mode it's on standard mode.
The Screenshots Display setting are below. Every apps including settings are zoomed then usual

3. Which one should I download from  ASUS verified drivers? I will test in Safe After reinstalling the drive choice from you.
Edit:
4. I installed DDU from guru3D. please give me instructions on how to uninstall the current display drivers and then reinstalling.

Thank you for your response. Please try testing with the GPU mode set to Ultimate or Eco Mode to see if the issue occurs only in one of the modes.
Regarding DDU to remove the display drivers, please enter Windows Safe Mode and run DDU. In the main interface, select the target devices (i.e., NVIDIA and Intel graphics cards). Click on "Clean and Restart". After completing the DDU cleanup and rebooting, install the latest driver versions (V32.0.15.6607 / V32.0.101.5768) and check if this resolves the issue. Thank you

Firstly, I tried changing modes as you've said before uninstalling and reinstalling drivers. I changed  to "Ultimate mode" but I there's wasn't any change so I changed it back to standard. When I changed back the zooming changed back for a few minutes, when I checked in settings it was 200% ( recommended). I thought problem was fixed but then it got zoomed again.

So then I went into safe mode and then used DDU to clean and restart. And double clicked the downloaded NVDIA driver after getting out of windows. And Did a final restart.
The screen size, app sizes changed back, everything thing was back to good but the taskbar got smaller than before.
When I checked the settings now. The Recommended Scale size changed from (200% -> 150%). I have attached of the current screen settings. Please tell me is there any way to increase taskbar size alone. @Anbby_ROG
